Centrifugal spray drying is the most widely used process in liquid forming process and drying industry. It is most suitable for producing powder and granular solid products in solution, lotion, suspension and paste liquid raw materials. Therefore, centrifugal spray drying is a very ideal process when the particle size distribution, residual moisture content, bulk density and particle shape of the finished product must meet accurate standards.
Principle
The air enters the air distributor at the top of the drying tower through the filter and heater, and the hot air enters the drying chamber evenly in a spiral shape. The feed liquid is pumped to the centrifugal atomizer at the top of the drying chamber by the feed liquid tank through the filter, so that the feed liquid is sprayed into tiny mist droplets. The feed liquid and hot air are in parallel flow, and the water evaporates rapidly, and then dried into finished products in a very short time. The finished product is discharged from the bottom of the drying tower and the cyclone separator, and the exhaust gas is discharged from the fan.
key point
1、Atomization: the atomization system of the unit must ensure that the size of the droplets is evenly distributed, which is very important. Only in this way can the qualified rate of product quality be ensured.
2、Contact between hot air flow and fog drop: When enough hot air flow enters the drying chamber, the direction and angle of hot air flow must be considered. It is very important to ensure full contact with the fog droplets for full heat exchange, whether in parallel flow, countercurrent or mixed flow.
3、Design of pipeline angle and dimension angle: it is very important to choose the right angle. We have obtained some experience data from nearly 1000 units produced and shared with you.
